Conspiracy Theory: 440hz V 432hz

Hey guys! So lately you may notice I’ve been on a energy/frequency/vibration kick and learning more about how frequencies work and affect us.

Well, I learned something really interesting (to me at least…lol) and wanted to share.

I had no idea this was even a thing, but did you know there is a conspiracy theory based on the standard frequency of which music is tuned?

What? Yeah, that’s what I was thinking, so of course I had to dive more into it.

So it seems the standard to tune music is 440hz. From what I have learned, this was an idea as far back as 1885, but it didn’t become a worldwide standard until 1953.

So what’s the big deal? Where does the conspiracy come in?

Well, there are people who say that that is a bad/unnatural frequency. That instead of 440hz it should be 432hz because 432hz is “mathematically consistent with the patterns of the universe, vibrating with Phi, the Golden Ratio” and that it also “resonates with 8hz, which is the electromagnetic “beat” of the earth.”

What does all that mean? It means that since 432hz is in rhythm with nature and shares the same patterns, it just feels better and puts out a more positive vibe.

The conspiracy theory says the frequency of 440hz is leading humans into more aggression and emotional distress.

Even the Nazis are mentioned in this conspiracy theory.

It is said that Joseph Goebbels, chief propagandist for the Third Reich, imposed the 440 Hz tuning as part of a heinous plan to “warp the consciousness of the masses.”

But it doesn’t stop there. The music industry/record labels are also “in on it.”

“The music industry features this imposed frequency that is ‘herding’ populations into greater aggression, psycho social agitation, and emotional distress predisposing people to physical illness,” claims Dr. Leonard Horowitz in his paper “Musical Cult Control.”

Now, do I believe the conspiracy?

I don’t know.

I do believe different energies and frequencies can directly impact our own energy/frequency so I could see where (if 440hz is a “bad” frequency) this could kinda change us over time.

And I can see where if the top elite few had a chance to do experiments on and/or influence the population, they would. (I mean, I really feel like they already do with everything they put in our food and water, but that’s another

So is it possible? I think so. Is it probable? Not sure.

One thing for sure I can tell you is that I can tell the difference between the two hz and do prefer the 432hz over the 440hz.

Want to see if you can? Check out this video I found. He plays samples of songs in each frequency and you can see if you can tell a difference.

What do you think about all of this? Think the conspiracy theorists are on to something or it’s all nonsense? Could you tell a difference in the song samples?

  1. Very interesting post. I tried it out, too. Must say that I am a big music fan. I ride my bike daily and have a blue tooth speaker on my water bottle. I listen to my playlist of my 100 (or so) favorite songs in my life every time I ride.. Regarding the test, I couldn’t catch the difference. Also, was very interested in the comments on the test by professional musicians. Seems there is some doubt as to its veracity. Interesting experiment, though. thanks.
